Peter is the director of City Solution (UK) Ltd, the London accountancy practice behind UK Establishment. He holds the firm’s practising licence from the Association of Accounting Technicians and is the firm’s nominated officer for anti-money-laundering purposes under HMRC supervision.
The practice has worked with UK small businesses since 2014. UK Establishment came out of a pattern he kept seeing: founders abroad buying a UK company from a formation agent for £12, then discovering nobody had registered it for Corporation Tax, the year end did not match the group’s, and HMRC had been writing to an address nobody was opening. The fix was never complicated. It was just that no one owned it.
He now spends most of his week on first calls with overseas founders — deciding subsidiary or branch, working out whether the group already has a UK taxable presence, and setting a structure that will not need unpicking in year three. He answers the quote form personally.
