Calendar

Every filing date for your UK company, from two dates

Enter the incorporation date and the year end and get the Companies House and HMRC deadlines for the next two years — accounts, corporation tax, CT600, confirmation statement, VAT quarters, PAYE and P11D. Download it as a calendar file.

We usually set this to match the parent’s year end

First accounts are due 21 months after incorporation; thereafter 9 months after the year end. Corporation tax is due 9 months and 1 day after the period end and the CT600 12 months after. A long first period produces two CT600s. Confirmation statement due 14 days after each anniversary of incorporation. VAT: 1 month and 7 days after the quarter end. PAYE: 22nd of the following month (monthly payments shown; RTI is due on or before each payday). P11D: 6 July; Class 1A: 22 July. Dates falling at a weekend are shown as they fall; pay early.

What happens if a date is missed

Companies House: late accounts £150 to £1,500, doubled if the previous year was late too; a late confirmation statement is an offence and, left long enough, leads to strike-off. HMRC: late CT600 £100 rising to tax-geared penalties; late corporation tax carries interest; late VAT returns accrue penalty points and then £200 per return, with interest on late payment; late PAYE attracts monthly penalties after the first default. None of these come with a reminder. The full calendar guide explains each one; the compliance service tracks them for you.
