Already have a UK company? We take it over and tidy it up
Many overseas founders arrive with a UK company a formation agent set up two years ago: no accountant, a year end that matches nobody, a UTR letter unopened at a virtual office, and a penalty or two. We take it over as one fixed-fee job.
The usual list: the PSC register is wrong or names an individual instead of the parent; the company was never registered for Corporation Tax or told HMRC it was trading; the confirmation statement is overdue; the year end is 31 March because that was the default; VAT should have been registered from the first sale; and the previous bookkeeping is a spreadsheet or nothing. None of it is unusual and all of it is fixable.
We review the public record and HMRC position, list what is missing, file the arrears, appeal penalties where there is a reasonable excuse, change the year end to match the group, correct the registers and move the books to Xero with clean opening balances. Then the company goes onto a normal monthly package.
